On 10 February 2026, Kaizenkodo — together with Kunnskapsparken Helgeland and the Arctic Cluster Team — ran a webinar on local AI for companies across Northern Norway. It was built as a practical introduction: not too technical, focused on real usage and hands-on tasks rather than pure theory.

Open models, running on your own hardware

Igor from Kaizenkodo showed how to run powerful open-source models on local hardware. Using the open-weight Qwen2.5 model through Ollama on an NVIDIA RTX A6000, he worked through a range of practical tasks live — so participants could see exactly how local AI behaves in practice and what results to expect.

A starting point for the region

The session gave companies in Northern Norway a clear starting point for exploring local AI without deep technical knowledge. Interest was high, and many participants are now looking forward to the hands-on, in-person workshop on 17 June 2026 in Mo i Rana.

Kaizenkodo runs these sessions together with Kunnskapsparken Helgeland and the Arctic Cluster Team to help companies in Northern Norway adopt local AI that keeps their data under their own control.
